![]() ![]() And last I checked daybreak was still quite active releasing everquest expansions (still!). I'm not saying it is impossible, but it would require a lot more time and money, and would require dealing with companies that are still alive and actively developing/publishing. ![]() I can't find anything using this in google. That is a lot time and money you would have to spend before you even get to actually start work on the remaster. Does anyone know where I can find a rom for Baulders Gate Dark Alliance 2 for ps2 rom The websites i've tried the download says it will take over 3 hours, or there just aren't any downloads available. Finally you would have to get Ubisoft to sell you the distribution and publishing rights so you could actually sell the damn thing. So to do a remaster/re-release of CoN would require getting the original game assets from Snowblind, easy because they are basically dead, then you would need to convince Daybreak to license the IP to you (From what I know about Daybreak, even if you could get them to go along with it, it will probably cost more than most would be willing to pay). The DA games were developed by Snowblind and published by Interplay (Black Isle) both of these companies are defunct so getting the licensing and distribution rights for them is pretty easy.ĬoN 1 and 2 were developed by Snowblind, the IP for the world and characters is owned by Daybreak, and the publishing and distribution rights are owned by Ubisoft. Getting all the rights to remaster and re-release Champions of Norrath 1 and 2 would be extremely difficult compared to the Dark Alliance games. I mentioned this before when the first Dark Alliance game came to Steam. ![]()
